Epoxy Flooring FAQs

Do you offer any warranty?

Yes—every floor I install comes with a 15-year warranty covering adhesion and workmanship. That means if your coating peels, bubbles, or fails due to prep or product issues, I’ll fix it—period. This isn’t a vague “satisfaction guarantee”—it’s a real, written warranty. I also walk you through how to care for your floor so you get the longest possible life out of it. I take pride in every job I do, and I stand behind the work 100%.

How much does it cost?

Pricing depends on a few factors—square footage, condition of your concrete, and which type of epoxy system you choose (solid color, flake, metallic, or grind & seal). On average, most garage floor coatings fall in the $5–$9 per square foot range, all-in. I offer free, no-pressure estimates so you’ll know exactly what the job will cost before we start. I’ll walk you through the options and help you make a smart choice based on your space and your budget.

How long does epoxy flooring really last?

When done right, a professional-grade epoxy floor can last 15 to 20 years or longer—especially in residential settings like garages or basements. The key is in the prep work. I mechanically grind every surface to ensure strong adhesion, and I use only high-performance coatings rated for durability and chemical resistance. Cheap DIY kits or poor installs might last a year or two before peeling—but when I do it, it’s built to last. That’s why I back every floor with a 15-year warranty.

How long does installation take?

Most standard garage jobs take about 2 days from start to finish, but that can vary depending on the system. A grind & seal may be quicker, while metallic or custom flake finishes could take a little longer due to layering and cure times. I’ll give you a clear timeline up front and keep you updated as we go. I don’t overbook or bounce between jobs—once I start your floor, I stay on it until it’s done right.

Can epoxy be installed over damaged concrete?

Yes, in most cases. Hairline cracks, minor pitting, or surface spalls are all fixable during the prep phase. I use professional patching compounds and joint fillers to create a smooth, stable surface before applying the coating. If your floor has more serious issues like large cracks or moisture problems, we’ll talk about possible solutions—sometimes that means additional prep or a resurfacing system. Either way, I’ll never coat over a floor that’s not ready.

Is epoxy slippery?

On its own, epoxy can be slippery when wet—just like tile or sealed concrete. That’s why I offer traction additives in every system I install. These additives create subtle texture in the finish, making it safer for garages, shops, and any space that might get damp. It’s especially useful in winter when snow and salt get tracked in. I can dial in the level of grip you want based on how you use the space and your comfort level.
